Something New

Hey welcome to my blog! I'm kinda new at this but hopefully it will be a little entertaining . I am in an independent study course for drawing and painting and will be working on daily sketches in my sketchbook, 2 still life paintings with their prep drawings, 3 large (finished) drawings, and 2 figure paintings withe their prep drawings. I have to admit, I felt really silly a little bit ago when I was told I was doing figure paintings because I thought my teacher said finger painting and it took me back to a fun paint splattered memory. I will be painting with acrylic, oil, and watercolor while my sketches and drawings are obviously in pencil. My large drawings will most likely be created using the grid method i recently learned in drawing and printmaking- when I signed up for drawing and printmaking, I thought I was signing up for drawing and painting, and now I'm in both and am loving it! I'm very excited to be working on these projects because I know that I will be challenged by most of them because they are geared towards the areas I need to improve in and they will help me look at the world through the creative part of my mind, changing the way I view things.
