The end of break is coming fast, i leave on september 5th for Spring arbor University and i simply can't wait!! this summer i did a few pieces but they were mostly just for fun bc i was bored so dont' judge them too much haha! ;)
This is my dream catcher that i made yesterday. I had been having bad dreams and thought 'what could stop my bad dreams?' and a dream catcher popped into my head. I know it's just a...myth? that they catch the bad dreams but i thought it would be fun to make and it was :) i didn't want it to be like those little kits they make for kids so they can make dream catchers, i wanted it to be...idk real?haha so i went up to my school and actually cut off some will branches from one of the willow trees by the soccer fields.
This second piece is an elephant, i was bored and decided to play w/ my gold paint. i wanted to finger paint but wasn't quite in the mood for getting my hands extremely..painty lol so i use cue-tips.
This 3rd piece is my 1st abstract and probly my last haha. It was totally by accident, i was outside on the driveway waiting for my project to dry (had to make a scepter for my mom's kindergarten class at church) and i just started painting randomly. I was actually going to throw it away but my mom came outside and pretty much flipped a lid when she saw it and she said she loved it and took it inside to show my dad. I have to say that it kinda freaked me out bc i was seriously thinking in my head 'mom its just a bunch of paint slopped on a piece of paper w/ no meaning beside hopping into the trash' but now i look at it and i'm glad my mom stopped me from throwing it away. i like it :)
This is a flower that i painted to see if it would look good on this material i'm using instead of canvas and it turned out good but i had to all a background on this bc it looked weird w/ just a flower on a blank piece of paper. If i end up using it for my material 'canvas' then i won't have the 'background' part w/ it.
This is a rose i painted on my driveway while waiting for that silly scepter to dray... i was thinking of the stencils we made in the printmaking class i took this past spring.
