D&Print - Carving Lino.
Today I finished carving my linoleum (lino) slab and I was so happy I finished because I was getting some serious hand cramps! As I worked I realized a few things;1) you can cut yourself very easily and don't even realize it until something gets into the cut-for me it was lemon juice :/ . 2) lino carves easier when it's warmed up first. I didn't realize how cold it was until I held it on my leg and felt it through my jeans. I ended up warming it up by sitting on it for a few minutes. 3) If you just happen to poke a hole through, patch it up w/ clay and let the clay dry in there-it worked very well for me. Monday is a day I'm excited for because then I actually get to try my stamp out and see if it works, wish me luck!
