D&Paint artist statement

This was my 1st independent stady class and I'm sad that I didn't join it at the begining of the trimester instead of the middle. I never did get the chance to use oil pastels but I enjoyed using acrylic and pencil. I admit that I don't enjoy using acrylics to paint people and I generally don't like painting my subjects; I enjoy pencil much more.My still life was my most enjoyable piece to create bc I was painting but it wasn't a person; my second painting was a person. I'm not sure why but I feel very uncomfortable painting people, drawing them I have no problem whatsoever but painting them...I don't like it. My last piece was a drawing of a person. There wasn't an exact person in mind because I couldn't settle on  a single person to draw so I mixed the features of several people together to produce the final image.
