D&Print artist statement

My inspiration for my final exam was a song by Steven Curtis Chapman called Cinderella; about his daughter that dies when she was 5.This song has been stuck in my head for several weeks and I decided that id make my final exam project centered around the song so it would then, hopefully, get out of my head. The medias I used are ink, acrylic paint, construction paper, and chalk pastels. One challenge was when my foam board  ‘stamp’  didn’t give a clear images to go off of so I glued manila folders to my stamp and them used it; thankfully everything worked out quite well from there. The major strength would be the castle, it has this fairytale, antique look to it and the textures are fun to touch. Weakness would be the empty windows, I ran out of ideas of what to put in the windows. If I could do anything different, I’d start the project 4 days before exam day instead of just my 1 day.
